FAQ
What types of therapy do you offer?
I provide online therapy for adults in California who are struggling with anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is integrative and evidence-based, primarily using CBT, EMDR, and ERP informed, depending on your needs. I am also trained in Gottman Couples therapy 1 and two research based parenting approaches (Triple P and PCIT).
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I provide secure online therapy sessions for clients located anywhere in California. Online therapy allows you to get support from a comfortable, private space without needing to travel to an office.
What issues do you specialize in?
I specialize in helping adults who are dealing with:
Anxiety and chronic worry
OCD and intrusive thoughts
Trauma and unresolved past experiences
Life transitions and major decisions
Stress related to relocation, expat life, or immigration-related adjustment
Can therapy help with anxiety and overthinking?
Yes. Anxiety and overthinking are very treatable. In therapy, we work on understanding what’s driving the worry cycle and developing practical tools to interrupt it. Over time, clients often notice more mental clarity, emotional steadiness, and improved ability to manage stress.
What is OCD therapy like?
OCD therapy focuses on helping you relate differently to intrusive thoughts and reduce compulsive responses like reassurance seeking, mental checking, or avoidance. I use ERP-informed CBT strategies to help you gradually reduce the power these thoughts have over your daily life.
Do intrusive thoughts mean something is wrong with me?
No. Intrusive thoughts are common and do not reflect your values, intentions, or identity. Many people with anxiety or OCD experience unwanted thoughts that feel distressing or confusing. Therapy helps you respond to these thoughts in a way that reduces fear and stuckness.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is a trauma-focused approach that helps the brain process difficult or overwhelming experiences so they feel less emotionally intense over time. This can help reduce triggers, emotional reactivity, and the lingering impact of past events.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and what you’re working through. Some clients notice improvement within a few months, while others prefer longer-term support, especially when working through trauma or longstanding patterns.
Do you work with expats or people living outside the U.S.?
Yes. I work with expats, immigrants, and individuals navigating major life transitions, including relocation, culture shock, identity shifts, and adjustment stress. Therapy can be especially helpful during periods where life feels unfamiliar or unstable.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
The most important factor is whether you feel comfortable and understood. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call so we can talk about what you’re going through, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
How do I get started?
You can schedule a free consultation to talk about what’s been feeling hard and explore whether therapy together is a good fit. If it feels right, we’ll move forward from there.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept most major insurance plans. If not, I can give you a superbill to bill your insurance out of network.
What is your rate and how long are the sessions?
My rate is $150 and the sessions are 45 minutes. I do not offer a sliding scale/reduced fee.
What are your hours?
My hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-2pm PST with the last appointment at 2pm
